Thanks for an interesting and entertaining (as ever) episode. Is it possible that individuals with a predisposition to violence could be 'densensitised' by exposure to games and make them more likely to conduct acts that they would otherwise not have done? This would be a small subset of the game playing population at large and not detectable in studies conducted on normal subjects. But it would mean that the contention that violent video games has a causative role to play in extreme violence could be at least partly true.
As a child (9 y/o) I’ve been playing lots of Diablo 2 with my mom. My grandma was heavy against it, surprisingly, from secular angle: she believed Diablo 2 is game used by US military to recruit and train soldiers. Just think about all the amazing military doctrines possible emerging from Diablo 2!
It’s clear to me that the most concerning cause of violent incidents in gaming is Stuart thinking it’s a good idea to play Dark Souls on a keyboard.

Diablo 4 is at least as good as Diablo 2 and imo much better, best in the series. Strongly recommend.
